A stud compression strut terminates below a concrete slab and connects via a 12 gauge 1-1/2-inch by 1-1/2-inch angle clip. Two number 8 by 1/2-inch self-tapping screws secure the angle clip to the deck, while two number 10 pan head sheet metal screws fasten it to the strut. A 3/8-inch Hilti KB-TZ-CS wedge anchor with a minimum 2-inch embedment anchors the assembly into the concrete slab, positioned no more than 1 inch offset from the centerline of the deck low flute.
