A 6x6 wood post with continuous 2x6 vertical wood furring strips on each side is enclosed by 3/4-inch marine-grade plywood boxes painted on all sides. An 1/8-inch clear acrylic panel is secured in a dado with clear sealant at the joint on both sides. Additional components include a shim as required and a wood W-3 cap shown dashed above.
