The cast-in-place concrete stair tread incorporates a rounded nosing with a one-quarter inch radius and an integrated work point at the leading edge. Three parallel one-quarter inch grooves are set into the tread surface with five-eighths inch spacing to provide slip resistance, finished with a painted contrasting color typical at each tread. A number three reinforcing bar is positioned inside the nosing for structural integrity, and the horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces receive a medium broom finish.
