This assembly features a three-eighths inch thick bent plate steel jamb guard anchored to the interior face of a concrete wall. The guard extends to a height of four feet above the finished floor and is finished with two coats of safety yellow gloss enamel. It is secured to the concrete wall using one-half inch diameter wedge anchors spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The adjacent door frame is installed per manufacturer specifications, with continuous sealant applied at the interface between the wall and the frame. The sealant must remain unpainted and color-matched as selected by the owner or architect. Rigid insulation is integrated into the wall assembly per ComCheck requirements, and the head condition is similar to this jamb detail.
