A one-and-a-half-inch outer diameter painted steel handrail is welded to a steel handrail bracket, maintaining a one-and-a-half-inch clearance from the wall assembly. The steel handrail bracket is spaced at four feet on center maximum and secured with three-eighths-inch diameter by three-inch hex head lag screws. The lag screws anchor directly through the wall assembly into four-times blocking. The wall assembly is finished per the architectural schedule.
