A buckling-restrained brace connects to a structural steel column and beam intersection using a gusset plate sized per the manufacturer. Stiffener plates are welded to each side of the column web and beam web with fillet welds and complete joint penetration welds only when required by the brace manufacturer. The connection includes an extended web angle girder connection and magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing designations. Additional information is referenced on sheet 3.S-322.
