This plan detail shows a metal grating assembly supported by structural framing connected to a steel column. The grating is set over a three-quarter-inch shim plate and framed with L4x4x1/2 by nine-inch long angle sections welded with typical quarter-inch fillet welds. A four-by-three-inch by quarter-inch plate with a five-eighths-inch center hole projects toward the screen centerline to receive connection elements provided by the screen manufacturer. Grid lines E through I frame the location relative to the screen centerline.
