An interior partition wall terminates beneath a corrugated metal deck running parallel to the wall alignment. The assembly includes a top track connected to the deck with a one-inch vertical clearance. Perimeter joint sealant and firestopping are applied at the head condition complying with UL system HW-D-0633. Gypsum wallboard panels are fastened to the framing members on each side. Insulation fills the interior stud cavity.
