This hollow metal frame jamb detail connects a metal stud partition to a hollow metal frame. The partition framing consists of two cold-formed steel studs at the jamb, specified at twenty gauge minimum. A hollow metal frame with a scheduled frame depth receives the partition edge. Glazing is secured within the frame using a stop and scheduled glazing material. Sealant is applied at the interface between the metal stud partition finish and the hollow metal frame.
