This stair railing assembly features a vertical three-quarter-inch by one-and-a-half-inch steel bar and stainless steel cables provided by a design-build stair manufacturer. The vertical elements attach to a C-channel stair stringer. The railing height is dimensioned at three feet minimum above the landing or tread nosing, with a three-foot-six-inch minimum overall height and three-and-a-half-inch maximum typical cable spacing. The underside of the stair and stringer is painted with accent colors per the stair drawings.
