A Superior number 53 twenty-gauge deflection track attaches to the concrete wall using zero-point-one-seven-inch diameter by one-and-one-half-inch long shot pins with metal washers spaced at twenty-four inches on center, allowing vertical movement above the interior gypsum board and stud framing. A half-inch joint filled with caulking is provided on both sides at the wall junction. In the joist condition, a steel track and steel joist assembly is secured to the concrete wall with zero-point-one-seven-inch shot pins at twenty-four inches on center to each stud, utilizing number ten screws and a continuous 362T18 track with a half-inch caulked joint at the base.
