A heavy-duty grated trench cover spans a recessed concrete trench lined with one-and-a-half-inch galvanized steel angle embeds welded to embed plates. The trench perimeter is finished with a quarter-inch minimum chemical-resistant waterproofing membrane suitable for vehicular traffic. The grated cover features slots oriented perpendicular to the direction of water flow. A floor drain connects to the trench bottom per plumbing drawings, housed within a thickened concrete slab profile.
