A reinforced concrete stoop bears on a foundation system detailed on the structural drawings with a maximum slope of one-quarter inch per foot. The exterior door threshold sits directly on sealant above the concrete slab edge. Number four rebar dowels, thirty inches long, are drilled and hammered six inches into the existing concrete and centered within the stoop slab. A vapor retarder is installed throughout beneath the slab on grade, alongside one-inch insulation panels placed at the foundation and top of the footing over structural fill.
