An existing 450x450 concrete column is reinforced with a CFRP column wrap system, using Tyfo SEH-41 composite system from GFL to L2 and GFRP Tyfo SEH-51A between L2-L5 wrapped twice around the column. Existing column corners are prepared with a new chamfer of 25 millimeter radius, and the concrete surface is prepared to manufacturer's specifications prior to wrapping. Existing reinforcing consists of HD28 vertical bars with R10 stirrups. A new 310UC column is connected adjacent to the concrete column using two grade 8.8 bolts fixed with Hilti HIT-RE500 injection adhesive system 150 millimeters into the column at 300 millimeters centers typical, with bolt sizes varying from M24 at GFL-L3, M20 at L3-L5, to M16 at L5-ROOF.
