Base connections utilize two 1/4-inch thick 3-inch by 3-inch steel angles anchored with 1/2-inch diameter epoxy wedge anchors to the finish floor. The elbow detail incorporates 1-1/2 inch outer diameter steel handrail mounted with two 1-1/2 inch by 5-3/4 inch by 1/4 inch steel plates and a 1 inch by 2 inch by 1/4 inch steel plate. Pipe guardrails utilize 1-1/2 inch primed and painted steel pipe set into 2-inch diameter by 12-inch long steel pipe sleeves cast into concrete landing inserts with #4 rebar at twenty-four inches at each post.
