This assembly consists of a one-quarter inch by five-inch by five-inch steel weld plate attached to a structural member. The plate is secured with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds on two sides. An optional five-eighths inch diameter erection bolt is provided for temporary positioning and may remain in place following the final field weld. A one-quarter inch fillet weld is specified for the perimeter connection, indicated by a field weld symbol.
