A concrete walkway bears on ninety percent compacted subgrade alongside a concrete tilt-up wall. A one-half-inch felt expansion joint material with sealant on top and tooled one-quarter-inch radius edges runs down the centerline, reinforced with number five smooth dowels at twenty-four inches on center wrapped with a bond breaker on one side. Welded wire mesh reinforcement sized six by six over ten by ten is discontinued at the expansion joint. A control joint with a one-eighth-inch by one-quarter-inch deep saw cut is provided in the concrete walk.
