An interior accent wall light cove assembly integrates a lighting fixture with an integral shielding cover and flange. The fixture is secured to timber framing backed by blocking as required. A metal edge strip, corner bead, and backer rod with sealant finish the junction between the wall tile and the lighting pocket. The adjacent ceiling plane and scheduled finish align with the lighting fixture per the reflected ceiling plan.
