Metal studs span vertically between continuous top and bottom tracks anchored to a concrete slab and overhead structure. A structural steel tube measuring 3-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches by 3/16 inches is spaced at 8 feet on center and fastened with 1/4-inch diameter screws at 12 inches on center. A closure plate is installed at the base within a prepared rough and clean concrete surface. Metal studs are sized per the structural stud schedule.
