A PVC pipe penetrates the roof assembly, maintaining a minimum height of zero feet eight inches above the finished roof surface. A PVC membrane cap covers the top of the pipe and seals over aluminum tape applied along the upper portion. PVC membrane flashing extends down the pipe and transitions to a hot-air welded PVC membrane base flashing secured with manufacturer fasteners to the roof system. Below the waterproofing layers, insulation is securely fastened over an air and vapor barrier that is sealed at its edges, resting upon the structural deck.
