A six-inch high continuous 20 gauge metal backing plate spans across 20 gauge cold-formed metal stud framing to provide structural support for wall-mounted equipment and accessories. Two number 8 low-profile pan head self-tapping screws secure the plate to each intersecting metal stud. This backing plate type is specified for anchoring toilet and bath accessories, telephones, bulletin boards, tack and marker boards, mirrors, and directories.
