The automatic sprinkler main riser penetrates a continuous concrete footing per the foundation plan, centered within a sixteen-inch diameter sonotube. A concrete fill of the same width as the footing surrounds the eight-inch diameter sprinkler main, maintaining a two-inch minimum clearance all around unless noted otherwise. A cold joint separates the footing pour from the concrete fill below finished grade at the farside. Reinforcing includes two number five bars measuring four feet zero inches in length, positioned adjacent to the riser penetration.
