Gypsum board finishes both sides of the continuous metal studs and meets the bottom track, which is anchored to the finish floor using powder-driven anchors at four feet on center. Continuous acoustical sealant runs along each side against the track, omitting sealant at designated P1A and P1B conditions. Fire-rated wall partitions require fire sealant applied to both sides at the floor line and extending upward to the underside of the sheathing at the partition head. The partition head connects below a metal joist and ceiling assembly, maintaining a minimum one-inch clearance where specified.
