This interior partition assembly consists of three-and-five-eighths-inch, twenty-gauge minimum metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center with three-and-a-half-inch insulation installed between the studs. One layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum board is applied to each side of the framing. The partition extends to the underside of the deck to achieve an STC rating of forty-five to forty-nine according to GA reference WP 1072.
