A thick-set marble threshold transitions between adjacent thick-set tile and scheduled floor finishes over a depressed concrete slab. The threshold width measures four inches with a maximum one-half inch height difference. The concrete slab features a localized depression to accommodate the thick-set tile and threshold assembly.
