A tiled pony wall corner is constructed with metal framing and a layer of gypsum board. The exterior face is finished with a cementitious backer unit set behind scheduled tile installed with medium bed mortar. A one-by-one by one-eighth inch stainless steel angle frames the outside corner, while a three-quarter by three-quarter by one-eighth inch stainless steel angle with a square edge and an eighth-inch thick stainless steel plate detail the return alongside shims and a J-mold.
