An aluminum storefront system mullion ties into exterior framing and sheathing, supported by adjustable shims as required. Exterior plaster over metal lath and weather-resistant barrier finishes the wall assembly adjacent to the opening. A sheet metal flashing, painted to match the adjacent wall, wraps the rough opening and integrates with six-inch and nine-inch self-adhered flashing membranes over the exterior sheathing. A backer rod and sealant joint seals the gap between the aluminum mullion and the perimeter flashing.
