A rated door frame with a 60-minute Underwriters Laboratories rating secures a door featuring a tight-fitting smoke and draft control assembly. The head condition utilizes a metal track nested with a 3-5/8 inch cold-formed metal stud, flanked on each side by 5/8 inch Type X gypsum board over metal studs sized per the structural schedule. Insulation is provided within the stud cavity where required. A 1/2 inch clearance is maintained at the rough opening.
