A 2x8 Number 2 Southern Pine pressure-treated wall buck is secured to a hollow structural section steel tube by others. A threaded stud with a Nelson type CPL coupling or equivalent is welded to the steel tube, extending through the wood member. The assembly is fastened using a zinc plated flat washer and a zinc plated hex nut.
