This elevation details a painted stair guard rail assembly utilizing painted guard rail pickets spaced at four inches on center with equal spacing up to a maximum of four inches. A one and one-half inch outer diameter stainless steel pipe hand rail runs beyond the pickets. The assembly features a painted one-half inch by one-inch flat plate steel rail at the top and a matching flat plate steel rail at the bottom, aligned with the bottom of the painted twelve-inch plate metal stringer located beyond. Typical connections are secured with five-sixteenths inch brush welds at the top and bottom with one-inch dimensions and a one-eighth inch gap typical.
