A roof drain assembly is recessed into framing supported by 2x6 minimum framing with 10d nails at six inches on center staggered, and two 2x8 minimum framing members, bearing within a thirty-inch square opening. The built-up roof over plywood sheathing slopes toward the drain with a five-inch minimum clearance, utilizing three-quarter-inch exterior grade plywood and four-inch fiber cant strips. An overflow scupper penetrates the concrete tilt-up panel adjacent to the drain assembly, positioned two inches from the top of the roofing finish. Wood or steel ledgers provide structural support at the concrete wall interface, and additional roofing details at the drain sump are referenced on sheet 6/AD.3A.
