An aluminum threshold is set in two continuous half-inch beds of silicone sealant over a concrete floor slab and landing. The landing slopes outward at one-quarter inch per foot, incorporating a continuous expansion joint filler below the threshold alongside traffic sealant and a backer rod. The adjacent floor finish aligns with the threshold per the finish plans, while the aluminum door frame is detailed above according to the door schedule.
