Window head junction where an aluminum composite metal panel meets an aluminum window system mullion. Pre-finished aluminum flashing matches the metal panel and ties into layers of six-inch and nine-inch self-adhered flashing over exterior sheathing and framing. A high-temperature weather-resistive barrier wraps the exterior framing, with a note requiring full sealing of any penetrations in the waterproofing membrane. A backer rod and sealant close the joint at the exterior face above the window mullion, and shims are provided as required.
