A window head condition interfaces with a brick masonry return. The assembly incorporates an aluminum storefront frame glazed with a 1-inch glass unit, sealed at the perimeter with joint sealant. The head detail ties into a backup wall comprising metal stud framing with sheathing, air and vapor barrier membranes, and exterior insulation. Below the head condition, brick masonry veneer with a cavity space forms the exterior finish, returning into the window opening.
