A proposed storm drain lateral line intersects a larger storm drain trunk line surrounded by a concrete collar measuring twelve inches wide by six inches thick. Two number four hoop bars reinforce the concrete collar while bending around existing wire. Mortar is applied to the new connection to create a smooth interior surface. A general note specifies that the larger pipe must be at least two point five times the diameter of the smaller pipe.
