A hollow metal frame head is set within a metal stud partition wall for openings up to three feet wide. A continuous twenty gauge metal runner sits within the frame head anchored to the partition assembly, which is filled with batt insulation and faced on both sides with gypsum board per partition schedules. Sealant is applied on both sides at the junction between the hollow metal frame and the wall finish. The frame accommodates a standard door below with precise dimensional clearances indicated.
