A pipe or conduit passes through an opening in a precast concrete wall with mineral wool insulation firmly packed into the opening to accommodate fill material. An elastomeric flashing membrane wraps the assembly, and a minimum 32-millimeter sealant is applied within the annulus flush with both surfaces of the wall.
