This assembly features a tilt-up concrete monolithic panel bearing adjacent to a concrete slab-on-grade. The slab edge is separated from the concrete panel by a one-inch joint-filler strip. Below the slab, a vapor retarder sits atop a drainage course, with extruded-polystyrene board insulation providing thermal separation between the slab edge and the panel. The interior face of the concrete panel is furred out with three-and-five-eighths-inch steel studs, which are faced with five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board and include foil-faced polyisocyanurate board insulation within the cavity.
