An approved exterior substrate supports a layer of Dryvit adhesive securing an EPS insulation board, which is faced with a base coat embedding reinforcing mesh and finished with a textured exterior coating. The head flashing integrates with the Dryvit Aquaflash system, extending beneath the assembly and interfacing with the storefront window frame. An air seal and compatible sealant with a closed-cell backer rod are installed at the window head joint per manufacturer requirements. Optional EPS shapes and detailed mesh wrapping provide continuous moisture protection and edge sealing around the opening.
