A pipe penetrates through a metal deck roof assembly and is protected by a metal hood with a draw band and continuous sealant at the top. The roofing membrane extends beneath the hood with a minimum twelve-inch vertical clearance and eight-inch horizontal coverage. The roof air and vapor barrier is continuously sealed at the roof penetration.
