The membrane roofing system end lap detail shows overlapping layers secured with mechanical fasteners and fastening plates spaced approximately five and one-half inches apart. A hot air weld joins the membrane sheets with a minimum one and one-half inch overlap. Edge sealant is applied along the perimeter per note three.
