Roof membrane overlapping assemblies utilize a six-inch lap joint secured by a four-quarter to five-inch wide weld with specified edge offsets. Fastening is accomplished using appropriate mechanical fasteners with either seam plates or batten strips depending on the configuration. Exposed reinforcement requires the application of cut-edge sealant.
