This shaft wall assembly consists of C-H studs framing an acoustic cavity filled with batt insulation. One side of the cavity is finished with a one-inch gypsum liner, while the opposite side receives two layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board. The overall width of the partition is dimensioned at the base.
