The reinforced membrane is adhered to the substrate using bonding adhesive and secured at the edge with a metal termination bar. Fasteners penetrate through the termination bar and membrane into the backup substrate to provide mechanical anchorage. Cut-off mastic is compressed beneath the top edge of the termination bar to create a continuous moisture seal against the wall. A bead of sealant is applied across the top lip of the termination bar to shed water away from the joint.
