An exterior outside corner transition integrates an HSS column, metal studs, and wood blocking. A 2x4 continuous nailer and 2x4 wood studs attach directly to the HSS column, supporting a six-inch metal stud framing layer. Gypsum board terminates neatly at the corner to provide a flush interior finish. Steel corner trim wraps the exterior juncture. A round pipe downspout is positioned adjacent to the corner trim on the exterior face.
