A single-ply roofing membrane is installed over a two-layer polyisocyanurate insulation system supported by a steel deck. The bottom layer of polyisocyanurate insulation is mechanically fastened to the steel deck per the manufacturer recommendations to meet Factory Mutual Class 1 guidelines. The second layer of polyisocyanurate insulation is fully adhered to the first layer with insulation board joints offset a minimum of 18 inches. The single-ply roofing membrane features lap splices and seam edge treatments installed per the manufacturer specifications.
