This two-hour rated shaft wall partition assembly features gypsum board layers over shaftwall framing with an acoustic blanket insulation installed in the cavity where specified. A minimum one-quarter-inch joint sealant is applied at the base transition. The assembly complies with Underwriters Laboratories design standards U415 and U438.
