This seismic separation joint for a suspended T-bar ceiling system maintains a minimum three-quarter inch gap between adjacent ceiling grids. The assembly utilizes standard main runners supported by twelve-gauge hanger wires spaced at a maximum of twelve inches from the joint. Ceiling clips are installed at the ends of the main runners to secure the grid at the separation point. T-bar ceiling tiles are installed within the grid system on both sides of the seismic break.
