A perimeter edge banding aligns with a metal angle edge trim to transition between a flat wood ceiling panel and a suspended metal ceiling system. The flat wood panel is supported by a suspension system carrying two-and-a-half-inch sound attenuation batt insulation, anchored against cold-formed metal framing and fire-retardant-treated wood blocking with a black-painted reveal. Adjacent to the wood blocking, a light tray enclosure integrates an LED backlighting system shining through a translucent backer panel and perforated metal ceiling panels mounted on a torsion spring grid system and T-grid suspension system.
