A ten-gauge steel cell door by Trussbilt bears above a cast-in-place concrete slab with structural steel detailing. A twelve-gauge galvanized channel features one-inch by three-inch grout openings spaced twelve inches on center, secured with plug welds through five-sixteenths by one-half-inch plug weld slots spaced six inches on center. The underside of the door includes a thirteen-sixteenths-inch recess to accommodate an automatic door bottom. The cell door threshold is fastened directly to the concrete according to the manufacturer recommendations.
